On 23rd and 24th September, 2017, Guwahati witnessed a one of a kind music festival at Veterinary Grounds, Khanapara. The festival named Forkaal was organized by LAC Group and had a massive number of attendees from all over Northeast India and afar. The festival grounds spread across a huge area and the entire show was very well organized.
On the first day, the audience got to witness performances by Dark Carnage, What Escapes Me, Demonic Resurrection, Kryptos, and death metal juggernauts Vader. Kryptos were at the top of their game. Vader proved why they are one of the greatest old school death metal bands of all time. Their performance was phenomenal and so was the crowd’s response.
The second day of the festival saw performances by Guwahati-based artists Fellow Swimmers, Dossers Urge from Shillong, Polar Lights from Nagaland, Lands (previously known as Nicholson), and post-rock outfit Aswekeepsearching. Girish and the Chronicles were the final band to perform on Day 2 and they mesmerized the crowd with their originals and covers of classic rock anthems.
The first edition of Forkaal was a huge success and we wish its organizing team all the very best for the upcoming installments.
