Dymbur, from Shillong of India, has witnessed several line-up changes over the course of the last few years. Now, with a new line-up which was revealed earlier this year, Dymbur has also announced a brand new single titled #N2RC officially slated for November 11, 2021 release.

On Friday, November 5, Dymbur announced via their social media handles that they've taken a new direction for the band and their new single #N2RC will showcase traditional Khasi instruments, indicating the quintet's shift towards folk metal. They have even labelled their new blend of metal featuring traditional ethnic instruments as 'KHASI THRAAT FOLK METAL'.

The band has been releasing small teaser clips for the better part of the last couple of months, unveiling glimpses of their upcoming new single, which will be released through a music video. Since its inception in the year 2011, Dymbur had always sported a modern progressive metal sound characterized by djent-laden riffs and polyrhythmic patterns, complimented by crushing breakdowns. Taking inspiration from modern metal icons like Monuments, After The Burial, and Meshuggah as well, the band has come up with one full-length album titled 'The Legend of Thraat' back in 2019 to some rave reviews throughout the globe.

But for their upcoming single titled #N2RC, the band has decided to embrace their ethnic traditional roots, marrying metal with Khasi traditional folk music. This will also mark their first original release with their new line-up featuring vocalist Lancaster Mawthoh, guitarist Andreas Nathaniel War and drummer Sain Shullai, all of whom joined forced with Dymbur back in May of this year.
