After a hiatus of four years, Bengaluru-based prog metallers Eccentric Pendulum have announced their much-awaited comeback with a brand new record. Titled *‘Perspectiva Invertalis’*, the full-length album is slated to release in September this year.

Taking to social media, the band wrote, *“The last few years saw the band take a short hiatus. With members pursuing other musical endeavours and working on our second full-length in parallel, the opportunity to play live did not arise until a few months back. By getting the entire outfit back together and @voidpossession (Kaushal LS) choosing to take a break from the band, a piece of the puzzle was missing.”*

Kaushal contributed vocals on their last album *‘Tellurian Concepts’,* and also on the single ‘Resisting Another Equation’ which was released back in 2015. But the prog metal outfit was quick enough to reveal their new vocalist in the form of Stanley David of the band Among the Signs. *“Stanley caught our attention through his band @among\_the\_signs. A few jams later, here we are! We look forward to Stanley being an integral part of the songwriting and future of the band”*, stated the band.

The name *‘Perspectiva Invertalis’* is based on a Latin phrase that translates to inverted perspective. Although they stressed the fact that Kaushal LS is on a “temporary break”, while their bassist Arun Natarajan has taken over vocals on the upcoming album. According to Rolling Stone India, vocalist Stanley David will only act as a live member of Eccentric Pendulum for now.

The album also features French death metal band Benighted’s drummer Kevin Paradis as a session artist, with German drummer Hannes Grossman laying down drums on one of the tracks. The band also plans to play more gigs as they near the September release of their full-length album. Here is the full tracklist of ‘Perspectiva Invertalis’:

1. Churning of the Blood Ocean
2. In Exile
3. Encaged Visions of the Unobstructed
4. Cyclic Vicissitude
5. Narcissistic Myopia
6. Immersed in Reverence
7. In Pretense

To this day, Eccentric Pendulum have released three albums - *The Sculptor of Negative Emotions EP (2009), Winding The Optics (2011),* and *Tellurian Concepts EP (2017).* The current line-up of the band consists of Arun Natarajan (vocals/bass/guitars), Ashish Kumar (guitars), Ankit Suryakanth (guitars), Arjun Mulky (guitars), Vibhas Venkatram (drums).
