This policy explains how paying for event tickets on Headtilts works: what you pay, how your ticket reaches you, and when and how you get your money back. It is part of our [terms](https://headtilts.com/pages/terms).

## In short

- **Event cancelled:** you get a full refund, automatically, an hour after it's called off. You don't need to ask.
- **Event postponed or moved:** your ticket is valid for the new date. If you'd rather not wait, or can't make the new date, cancel from your booking page and you get a full refund, automatically.
- **You cancel:** each event says on its page, and again when you book, whether you can cancel for a refund and until when. Inside that window the refund is automatic. Outside it, the organisers decide, and we email you their answer.
- **Paid, but no ticket:** if your payment goes through but we can't issue a ticket, for example because the last one sold while you were paying, you get a full refund, automatically.
- **How long it takes:** refunds go back to the way you paid and usually arrive within 5–7 working days of being sent. We email you when we send one.

## Who you're buying from

Tickets on Headtilts are sold by **Headtilts**, 154/2 Ambicapatty, Silchar, Cachar, Assam 788004 (“Headtilts”, “we”). We take the payment and issue your ticket. Some events are run by other organisers, who are named on the event's page; they are responsible for the event itself, and we handle the tickets, payments and refunds.

## Prices and payment

- Prices are in Indian rupees and are shown on the event page and at checkout before you pay. The price includes all taxes.
- Some events add a booking fee on top of the ticket price. If one applies, it's shown with the total before you pay, and nothing else is added. A full refund includes it.
- Payments are processed securely by Razorpay, by card, UPI, net banking or wallet. We never see or store your card details.
- Your place is held for 15 minutes while you pay. If the payment doesn't complete in that time, the place is released and you aren't charged. If your bank put a hold on the amount, it releases it, usually within a few days. If a payment does go through after your place was released, it's refunded in full automatically.

## How your ticket reaches you

Tickets are delivered by email, not by post. As soon as your payment is confirmed, we email your ticket with its QR code to the address you gave, along with a link to your booking page, where you can see your ticket at any time. If an event needs the organisers to approve each booking, you pay when you book and your ticket comes once they approve it, and the event page says so before you pay. If they decide not to approve it, they cancel it and you get a full refund. If your booking is still waiting when the event starts, [contact us](https://headtilts.com/pages/contact) and we'll refund you in full.

If your ticket hasn't arrived within an hour, check your spam folder, then [contact us](https://headtilts.com/pages/contact) with the email address you used, and we'll send it again.

## If you cancel

You can cancel a booking from your booking page at any time before the event starts, unless someone on it has already been let in. Cancelling cancels the whole booking: if it's for several people, every ticket on it.

- **Inside the event's refund window,** you get a full refund, sent automatically when you cancel.
- **Outside it, or for an event whose tickets aren't refundable,** your place is released and we pass your refund request to the organisers. A refund is then at their discretion. If they refund you, we email you when the refund is sent; if they decide not to, we email you to say so, and you can reply to ask about it.
- If you don't come to the event, or arrive late or leave early, that doesn't entitle you to a refund.

## If the organisers cancel your booking

The organisers can cancel a booking, for example one they can't approve. We email you when they do. If you paid, you get a full refund, usually straight away; if it needs one of their team who can send refunds, it waits for them and we email you when it's sent. The one exception is a booking someone was already let in on: then the organisers decide, and we email you their answer.

## If the event is cancelled

Everyone who paid gets a full refund, automatically. We email you as soon as the event is called off. The refunds go out an hour later, so that a mistake can be put right: if the event is back on within that hour, your ticket stands and no refund is sent. We email you again when your refund is sent.

If someone on your booking had already been let in when the event was called off, the refund isn't automatic: the organisers decide, and we email you their answer.

## If the date changes

If an event is postponed or moved to a new date, we email you straight away. Your ticket stays valid for the new date. While the event is postponed, you can cancel from your booking page at any time for a full refund, automatically. Once the new date is set, your booking page asks whether you're keeping your place; if the new date doesn't work for you, say so before it starts and you get a full refund, automatically. If you'd like a refund because the venue or start time has changed significantly, reply to your ticket email and we'll sort it out with the organisers.

## Paid but no ticket, or charged twice

If your payment goes through but we can't issue a ticket, because the tickets sold out while you were paying or the event was cancelled, we refund you in full, automatically, and email you to say so. If you were charged twice for the same booking, [contact us](https://headtilts.com/pages/contact) and we'll refund the extra payment in full.

## How refunds are paid

- Refunds go back to the card, UPI account, bank account or wallet you paid with. We can't send them anywhere else.
- Once we send a refund, it usually reaches you within 5–7 working days, depending on your bank. We email you when it's sent.
- A full refund is the whole amount you paid for the booking, including any booking fee.
- The organisers can also refund part of what you paid, for example as a goodwill gesture. Your ticket then stays valid unless they cancel it too, and we email you the amount.
- If a refund doesn't go through, we try again over the next few hours. If it still fails, we email you to say it's delayed, and the organisers send it again.

## Passing tickets on

Tickets are sold only on Headtilts. Please don't resell them. Tickets bought from anyone else may be refused at the door, and each ticket gets its holder in once: a booking for several people lets that many in.

## Disputes with your bank

If something has gone wrong with a payment, please [contact us](https://headtilts.com/pages/contact) first: it's almost always quicker than a chargeback. While a payment is disputed with your bank, we can't refund it ourselves, and the ticket is checked at the door before anyone is let in. If your bank returns the payment to you, the ticket is cancelled and we email you to say so.

## Questions and complaints

For anything about a ticket, payment or refund, reply to your ticket email or [contact us](https://headtilts.com/pages/contact). You can also reach us at **hello@headtilts.com**.

**Grievance officer:** Nilanjan Roy, Co-Founder, Email: **roy@headtilts.com**. We acknowledge every complaint within 48 hours and aim to resolve it within one month.

## Changes to this policy

We may update this policy. The version that applies to your booking is the one shown when you paid. When we change it, we'll update the date at the top.
