Jammers Graveyard vocalist Anuj Dorji dies at 31 due to a severe stroke

Anuj Dorji, vocalist and founding member of Guwahati based deathcore band Jammers Graveyard, has passed away on Friday, June 4. According to sources close to him, it has been understood that Anuj died due to severe health complications arising out of stroke and high blood pressure. This has been confirmed through various social media posts made by the deceased’s friends as well as band members, who have been mourning his untimely demise. He was only 31.

Their blend of deathcore is a mix of slam and unpredictable mighty breakdowns, making it sound something familiarly brutal yet novel. Since their inception, they have had success both in and outside of North-east India, winning several accolades and competitions throughout the country. Blitzkreig, Consensio, Pyrotechnix are some of the competitions that they’ve won till now.

Apart from that, they’ve also released singles ‘Laminin’ and ‘Architecture of Life’. Over the years, they’ve opened for and shared stage with International acts like Skinned (Colorado), Voice of Ruin (Switzerland), The Ocean Collective (Germany), among others.

Pawan Damai handles the guitar duty while Joy Das plays the drums for the Jammers Graveyard. Although the existing band members and close friends of Anuj had been vocal about his deteriorating health asking for help on social media, the band’s official statement on their vocalist’s demise went something like this:
