Monday Work was formed by four childhood friends hailing from Silchar, Assam. With Samrat Kemprai on guitar, Sunny Langthasa on vocal duty, Aranyak Das on drums, and Piyush Sinha strumming the bass, the band quickly managed to release a couple of singles merely three years into their existence. ‘Fuzzy Logic’ released in 2013 was the band’s debut original single. After generating a decent amount of local fanbase by performing in the local gigs, in the next couple of years they went on to release two of their most popular singles, ‘Shadows of Your Smile’ and ‘Ways that Never Change’ which further consolidated their stature.
