News: The Minimalist Reveals Tracklist From Their Upcoming Sophomore Album

1 min read
Quite recently, The Minimalist (facebook page) came up with an announcement much to their fans’ delight. A short video was posted through the band’s Facebook page showcasing their vocalist/guitarist Abhishek Goswami playing a riff from their upcoming full-length album. Also in that video, they unveiled the tracklist & artwork of the album, which is scheduled to be released later in this year.

The album named ‘Triumph’ is going to be their second full-length release after their debut offering ‘FacePaint’ back in 2015. The album will supposedly have 10 tracks which include 2 covers. Interestingly, one of the cover tracks is of FOSSILS’ huge hit ‘Acid’. Now, as many of us know FOSSILS is an influential Bangla Rock group & considering The Minimalist’s metal background, it does surprise us a bit. The other cover is of Cradle of Filth, which Abhishek himself did the vocal cover for & posted it on Youtube a while back. Also, the frontman was caught flaunting his Chaos (All Against All) t-shirt in the teaser video. Some thrash influence in the album maybe? Only time will tell.
