GODLESS Blows Off Steam With Their Vengeful Single Fluxion

1 min read

Hyderabad-based Death/Thrash metal outfit GODLESS has always kept up its reputation as one of the consistent ‘ballers’ from the Indian metal scene. With two exemplary EPs under their belt already, namely ‘Centuries of Decadence’ (2016) and ‘Swarm’ (2018), Godless is now revving up for their upcoming debut full-length album titled ‘States of Chaos’. With singles ‘Netherworld’ and ‘Orbits of Decay’ already out from the upcoming album, it’s the third and the last single Fluxion that probably best describes the intensity and tenacity of these extreme metallers from Godless.

The band has never shied away from embracing their roots in extreme metal, which is still evident in the three singles that they’ve put out so far from their upcoming LP, for their listeners to get a glimpse of what they should expect from the record.

FB IMG 1636560348964Clocking in at just over two-and-half minutes, the track starts off with a rampaging speed and intensity, frightening enough to jolt you up from your Monday morning hangover. From start to finish, ‘Fluxion’ doesn’t own a single moment holding back its full-blown punch, as it rages on in a fury of full intent. Although it does offer a delicious thrashy passage midway through the song, all in all, the track in its entirety has old school death metal of the early 90s written all over it, with punishing blast beats and guttural vocal of innate urgency.

Also, ‘Fluxion’ is the only track to feature Vishesh Singh on drums, who had filled in for Aniketh Yadav, their longtime drummer who had decided to part ways with Godless late last year. ‘States of Chaos’ LP is anticipated for a worldwide release independently on November 19, 2021.
