Chaos (facebook page)is a four-piece thrash metal band hailing from Kerala. To be honest, before I listened to The Great Divide, I had never heard of Chaos before. I’ve never been big on thrash metal but every once in awhile, I do prefer the classic bands like Slayer, Megadeth and Metallica. But I’m also willing to embrace and support the new wave of thrash metal bands.. and these guys certainly have the potential to carry on that scene forward.

The first thing you notice here is the relentless beats of drum followed by razor-sharp riffs that hook you up immediately. The vocalist smashes everything in sight with his rapid-fire vocals. It’s amazing how one can sing in that range and maintain it till the end of the song.

Everything is precise and clear. The production is quite good. It’s concise and enjoyable and before you even know it, it’s over. It’s a two-minute track, quick and to the point. Also, I would love to mention the album cover. It’s the first thing that catches the attention and I think it’s striking enough to trigger you to give it a listen. I would highly recommend any thrash or non-thrash fan to check out the album.
