A few months back, tragedy hit the glam rock band SNARM camp in the form of the untimely demise of their bass player Mrinal Manab. Although still recovering from that grave loss, the Guwahati-based glam rock outfit has announced today that they have recruited a new permanent bassist.

Taking to social media, glam rock band Snarm has announced that Anurag Gogoi has joined the band on a full-time basis as their bass player.

“Most of you who have been following us and showing your love and support for all these years would be well aware of the tragedy that struck us earlier this year in the form of the loss of our bass player cum brother @manabmrinal (Manab Mrinal) It was a real setback both as a band as well as personally for all of us”, wrote the band on their social media profiles.

“But as fate would have it, we have been blessed with a young & very talented musician @anuraggogoi528 (Anurag Gogoi) in the form of our permanent bass player. We cannot be more grateful as this was such a crucial time for us at the peak of our creative process as a band.”

On June 15, 2023, long-time Snarm bassist Mrinal Manab passed away after suffering a long battle with depression. This sudden loss was a huge setback for the band as they had recently signed a multi-album deal with the Denmark-based record label Lion Pride Music. The band is gearing up to release their debut record in early 2024.
