Kaihon - Terraform Album Art

After releasing their single, Pathological last year in February, Kaihon (facebook page) has been busy making songs for their new EP, Terraform.

The album consists of 4 songs featuring guests such as Shashank Bhatnagar (UNDYING INC.) and Keshav Dhar (SKYHARBOR) who is also responsible for the mixing and mastering of this EP.

The album starts off with the very light and subtle ‘Chrysalis’  which feat. Keshav Dhar (SKYHARBOR)and just gives us a slow ambient start, with a cool beautiful outro. It really picks up with the start of the next track ‘Awaken’ which is an absolute treat to hear where Lalit’s vocals come in from the back and just tears out the track along with Aranyak blasting away with his drums.

The song following it is, Pathological, and has become my most favourite track out of the whole album, this is most likely because the first half feels very thrashy with the heavy riffs also while containing some melodic elements by Jude and Shantanu.  It’s the same track which was released last year in February 2015 and even though it’s been more than a year, this song still packs a punch and will knock your teeth out if you’re not careful. The album then transitions to the last track ‘D.T.A.’  where we’re greeted with an awesome mix of harsh and clean vocals, by Lalit and also features guest vocalist Shashank Bhatnagar backing them up with some killer bass guitars was Adithyashankar and a guitar solo followed by a sick killer outro which completely ties up the whole EP and makes up for a complete package.
